Schooled or Self Taught?: I have learned a lot from my family and friends. As far as cooking, I am mostly self-taught, but the two most influential people have been Evelyn Miliate, my predecessor here, and Ramon Lopez, the Assistant Manager at our bakery.

When I’m not cooking... I’m playing tennis, soccer or watching a movie.
Best Bar Story (you or someone else): I used to own a billiard hall in Mexico and one day, I played there for 16 hours straight, then I had to keep working to help customers. It was a very long day for me but I had a lot of fun.
