Transformed Restaurant to Reopen in May 2015

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (March 23, 2015) — Paragary Restaurant Group (PRG), one of the largest locally-owned restaurant groups in the Sacramento region, will soon reopen its flagship restaurant, Paragary’s, at the corner of 28th and N Streets in midtown Sacramento.

“We are thrilled to announce the reopening of Paragary’s” said owner Randy Paragary. “The restaurant is undergoing a refurbishing of both design and concept, while continuing to honor the legacy of the original Paragary’s that opened over 32 years ago.”

The remodel, developed by Sacramento-based Ellis Architects and co-owner Stacy Paragary, is a complete makeover of the original restaurant, which first opened in 1983. The design incorporates both modern and traditional elements to create an environment that lets the food and drinks take center stage. A large operable glass door system opens up the interior to the renowned dining patio that features waterfalls, 60 year-old olive trees and a large fireplace.

Scott Ostrander, current chef at Esquire Grill, has been selected to be the Chef de Cuisine at Paragary’s. A Sacramento native, Scott has spent over 12 years working in some of this country’s finest restaurants including stints in the kitchens of Chicago’s Michelin-starred Alinea Restaurant and Yountville’s Lucy Restaurant & Bar. The newly inspired menu at Paragary’s will feature rustic fare inspired by French classics and dictated by local, seasonal ingredients.

Recently promoted to PRG Beverage Director, Brad Peters, will oversee the bar program at Paragary’s. Brad has over 9 years of experience working at some of the best craft cocktail bars in the city, and is the current President of the U.S. Bartenders’ Guild’s Sacramento chapter. The bar program at Paragary’s will feature seasonal cocktail preparations and techniques using a vast array of French spirits, liqueurs and aromatized wines.
