Whenever someone finds out I work for Paragary Restaurant Group, one of the first questions they always ask is what Randy Paragary is really like. I am not sure what they are expecting me to say, but my answer is always that I am very fortunate to work for such a kind and inspiring man. Even after over 30 years in the business, owners Randy Paragary, Stacy Paragary, and Kurt Spataro are still in the office or the kitchen on a daily basis ensuring that their guests are receiving the type of service, and quality food, that has come to be synonymous with the Paragary brand of restaurants and bars. It is very motivating to work people who have been in the industry for so long and are still always looking for ways to grow and improve their business, while empowering all who work with them.
There is no denying that Paragary Restaurant Group has been a driving force behind molding Sacramento into the growing metropolis that it is today. As Sacramento continues to bloom, the Paragary team will keep adding to their scorecard with new ventures, upgrades to their classic venues and fresh ideas that are sure to add to the excitement around Sacramento.
Here are just some of the exciting plans you will be hearing more about in 2016:
ENTERING THE HOTEL INDUSTRY: Randy Paragary is finally taking the leap into the hotel business! The boutique hotel will be built at the site of the current Café Bernardo on Capitol and 28th Street in midtown Sacramento. Frequenters of Café Bernardo and Monkey Bar might not be thrilled about their favorite neighborhood spot being closed during the construction, but Randy promises that the new digs will be worth it. Production is not expected to start for another year with an unexpected opening of early 2018. You can read more about the exciting midtown hotel here in the SACRAMENTO BEE. (PLEASE NOTE: CAFÉ BERNARDO & MONKEY BAR WILL REMAIN OPEN FOR NORMAL BUSINESS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!)
PARTNERING WITH THE GOLDEN 1 CENTER: How exciting will it be to go to concerts and games at the new Golden 1 Center and be able to enjoy Sacramento classics from Café Bernardo, Paragary’s, & Centro? The new Golden 1 Center will be home to Bernardo’s burgers and shakes, Paragary’s pizza, and Centro’s street tacos (with our classic house-made tortillas). Another exciting tidbit is that the Paragary Bakery will be supplying all bread products for all locations. Other local eateries such as Selland’s Market-Café, LowBrau, & Star Ginger will also be dishing up fresh, local cuisine in the new arena. Read all about it here in SAC TOWN MAGAZINE.
Don’t be surprised if you hear about even more new ventures for Paragary Restaurant Group in 2016. The sky is the limit!
